Vol. 95 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Division of County Leix Bog.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state if the Land Commission proposes to divide the Heath Bog, Castlefleming, Errill, County Leix, amongst local deserving applicants, as there are several applicants who strongly protest against the purchase of this bog by any individual other than the Land Commission.

The Land Commission propose to have an inspection made of the bog at Castlefleming or Heath on the Castletown Estate, County Leix, but at the present stage, it is not possible to state if or when the bog will be acquired and divided.

Is the Minister aware that representations have been made to his Department by one of the most prominent Fianna Fáil officials in the district for purchasing the bog?

What has that to do with it?

He will not be let buy it and you will not be let sell it to him.
