Vol. 95 No. 10

Committee on Finance. - Suspension of a Deputy.

I name the Deputy.

I move:—

That Deputy Flanagan be suspended from the service of the Dáil.

That is giving you great pleasure.

Question put and declared carried.

There is going to be no division because I am going. Thanks be to God I am going out with clean hands.

I leave the House with clean hands. There is no blood on my hands to-day.

When did you wash them?

The Dáil has decided that the Deputy withdraw and he must obey.

I would like to give them a bit of my mind before I go. They are the biggest gang of gangsters and twisters in this House I ever experienced in my life.

The Deputy will now withdraw without delay.

I think I have said all that I need.

Feeding India before he feeds his own people.

As I say, I know the Italian people have the sympathy of not merely the members of the House but of all our people.

Emigration and unemployment matter before we consider any other countries.

Deputy Flanagan withdrew.
