Vol. 96 No. 20

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Supplies of Whiskey.

asked the Minister for Supplies if he will state if there is anything in the supply position to warrant the release of an increased quota of whiskey to traders; and, if so, when it will become available.

Following discussions with the distillers, it was arranged some months ago that the quantity of whiskey to be released annually for the home trade will amount to about 25 per cent. more than the average annual quantity released prior to the emergency. The supply position does not permit of any increase in the present rate of distribution.
