Vol. 96 No. 23

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Purchase of Houses by Kilkenny County Council.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he is aware that Lord Annaly is willing to sell the working-class houses on the Annaly estate at Gowran, Dungarvan, Graiguenamanagh, Callan, Goresbridge, and other places in the County Kilkenny; and, if so, if he is willing to sanction the granting of the necessary financial facilities to facilitate the purchase of these houses by the Kilkenny County Council for reconstruction as modern working-class dwellings.

No representations in this matter have so far been received in my Department and until I have an opportunity of considering any such proposals that may be submitted by the local authority I could not express any views thereon.
