Vol. 96 No. 24

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Removal of Cowls on Public Lights.

asked the Minister for the Co-ordination of Defensive Measures if he will have the cowls on the public lights in the City of Dublin removed.

Cowls have been removed from a large number of the lamps in the City of Dublin. The City Manager will be authorised to remove the remainder shortly.

Could the Minister say when that will be?

It is in the course of being done at the moment.

Is the Minister in a position to say when he will give similar permission to other places?

What applies to Dublin will apply generally throughout the country.

Then they can take them down?

I mean that they will be authorised to do that shortly.
