Vol. 97 No. 16

Written Answer. - County Tipperary Evicted Tenant.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state if his Department has considered the request of Mr. John Pardy, Derrylehane, Graigue, Birr, County Tipperary, who was evicted from his farm on the Head Estate (S.3732; R.O. No. O.566, County Tipperary) to have him reinstated in the farm, which is lying idle; and if he will ensure that Mr. Pardy be given special consideration and be reappointed tenant, under an agreement between the Land Commission and him for the payment of outstanding arrears.

This is a case in which an allottee who was given a holding in 1926 has paid nothing to the Land Commission since May, 1927, and has had to be evicted. Every consideration was shown him and possession was not taken till 1943. The Land Commission are not prepared to reinstate Mr. Pardy.
