Vol. 98 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Laoighis County Council's Affairs.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he will state the date when it was decided to hold a sworn inquiry into the affairs of the Laoighis County Council; and the date when the members of the council were advised of this decision; if he has received the inspector's report and recommendations; and, if so, if and when they will be published.

It was decided last July to hold the local inquiry in question. The secretary of the county council was notified by letter of 13th July that the inquiry would be held and he was requested to notify the members of the county council. I cannot at present say when my decision on the evidence tendered at the inquiry will be announced.
