asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he will state the number of cottages under the control of the Dublin County Council which have been repaired since 1939, the total cost of these repairs, and also the number of cottages still in need of repair.

The total number of cottages under the control of the Dublin County Council is 3,285.
In the period from 1st April, 1939, to 31st March, 1945, repairs were carried out to 3,052 cottages in the county health district at a total cost of £46,741. Repairs are still required to 554 cottages. Particulars in respect of the period since 1st April last are not yet available.
