asked the Minister for Lands if he is yet in a position to state what steps have been taken by the Land Commission for the resumption of the lands of Dr. Costello and Mr. Thomas O'Brien at Brierforth, Williamstown, Isabella Hawe Estate, County Galway.

The Land Commission have obtained orders from the Appeal Tribunal authorising the resumption of the holding of Dr. T.B. Costello containing 80 acres 3 roods 6 perches and of the holding of Mr. T. O'Brien containing 94 acres 2 roods 28 perches in the townland of Brierforth on the former Hawes Estate. It is proposed to take over possession of the holdings in December, 1947, when existing lettings will have come to an end. In the meantime schemes of division will be prepared.
