Vol. 100 No. 14

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Condition of Cork-Killarney Road.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he is aware of the condition of the Cork-Killarney main road from Curtayne's Cross to Countess Road at the entrance to Killarney; if so, if he will take immediate steps to have that portion of the road made safe for traffic; if he will state if funds are available for making the footpaths, leading from Killarney safe for pedestrians; and, if so, if he will state when it is proposed to have this work carried out.

I am informed that it is intended to resurface the road referred to this year and that the necessary provision has been made in the county council estimates. No special provision apart from maintenance has, I understand, been made for the improvement of footpaths leading from Killarney.
