Vol. 100 No. 14

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Co-operative Societies and Bank Accommodation.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state the rate charged to co-operative societies for overdraft accommodation by the associated banks.

I am given to understand that there is no specific rate of interest on bank overdrafts to co-operative societies as such. The rates charged depend on the type of security offered and are not less favourable generally than those charged to other customers of the banks offering security of the same type.
