Vol. 101 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Conditions of Employment in County Clare.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state the rates of wages paid to the employees of the Office of Public Works in the rural area of Doonbeg, County Clare; also, the nature of the work performed, the number of hours a week worked by the men concerned, and the date on which the present scale of wages was fixed; and, further, if he will revise these rates in the near future.

If the Deputy's question refers to a minor employment scheme sanctioned in the townlands of Doonbeg and Carrow-more South in the Electoral Division of Doonbeg, County Clare, the conditions attaching to the scheme, viz., the rate of wages and the hours of working, are the same as those for minor employment schemes in all parts of the country.
