Vol. 101 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Wheat Statistics.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state what quantity of wheat was (1) milled, and (2) imported, during each year from 1939 to 1945 inclusive.

As the reply is in the form of a statistical statement, I propose, with the Ceann Comhairle's permission, to have it circulated with the Official Report.

Following is the statement:—

The quantities of wheat milled in mills operated under the authority of licences or permits under the Agricultural Produce (Cereals) Acts, and imported in each cereal year from 1938-39 to 1944-45 (inclusive) were as follows:—
