asked the Minister for Finance if he will state in respect of each of the years 1932 to 1946 (i) the name of each board or corporation set up by statute in which the State has a financial interest by direct subvention, share subscription, guarantee or otherwise; (ii) the number of persons employed whole-time and part-time by each such board in the months of June and December, respectively, in each of the years mentioned, and the total salaries paid to such employees by each such board; (iii) the manner in which the board of directors or other controlling body is appointed; and (iv) the name, date of appointment and remuneration of each member of each such board or controlling body, and whether any of such members are entitled to carry on other gainful activities.

I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to take questions 14 and 15 together.

I have no information in relation to heading (ii) of either question. As regards the other headings, I am having particulars compiled in relation to companies, boards and corporations in which the State has a direct financial interest and they will be supplied to the Deputy if he will be good enough to ask for them in a fortnight's time.
