Vol. 103 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Ballyhaunis Estate.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will furnish the report received from the Irish Land Commission inspector relative to the acquisition of the lands of Hubert Treston, Cottage, Ballyhaunis, County Mayo.

Mr. Boland

There is no reason for any departure in this case from the settled practice, and the answer is, therefore, in the negative.

What is wrong about giving the report?

Mr. Boland

As I indicated in the reply, the answer is in the negative.

Why will you not give the report?

Mr. Boland

The report is confidential.

The Minister is tough and rough to-day.

Mr. Boland

I hope I can meet toughness and roughness with toughness and roughness; I would not be fit to stay here if I could not.
