Vol. 104 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Price of Bicycles.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state under what circumstances, and for what reasons, he has, by the Emergency Power (Bicycles) (Maximum Prices) Order, 1946 (Amendment) (No. 1) Order, 1946, of the 26th November, 1946, permitted an increase from £10 12s. 6d. to £11 17s. 6d. in the maximum price at which Humber Standard, Raleigh Standard and Rudge Whitworth Standard Models bicycles may be sold.

It was found necessary to increase the controlled prices of the bicycles mentioned, owing to an increase in the import cost of the unassembled parts.
