Vol. 104 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Ferry Service at Youghal.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he is aware of the great inconvenience caused to people travelling by bus from Waterford to Cork via Youghal Bridge, where passengers must leave the bus at one end of the bridge and walk across the bridge, a distance of about 600 yards, and while so doing, are exposed to bad weather; and if, in view of this very great inconvenience, he will direct Córas Iompair Éireann to establish a ferry service at the bridge, for which service hackney cars are available at Youghal.

I am advised that the service requested by the Deputy has been provided ever since July, 1940.
