Vol. 104 No. 9

Supplementary and Additional Estimates—Leave to Introduce.

I move:—

That leave be given by the Dáil to introduce the following Supplementary and Additional Estimates for the service of the year ending on the 31st day of March, 1947, namely:-

Votes Nos.—

32 (Office of the Minister for Justice),

35 (District Court),

77 (Repayments to the Contingency Fund).

Leave granted.
Ordered: That the Supplementary Estimates be taken on Thursday, 27th February.

When is it proposed to take the Supplementary Estimates from No. 23 onwards?

They have not all yet been circulated.

They have been ordered, but we have not seen them.

They cannot be taken until they have been circulated.

As we are on that general point of order, could the Government confirm that Thursday will be allotted to the motion dealing with fuel?

Some time on Thursday, if business is completed by tomorrow—probably the whole day; but if we have to carry some business over to Thursday, the balance of the time, after dealing with that business, will be devoted to it.

I submit that the subject is sufficiently important to require the whole of Thursday. The Government can have Friday for dealing with any Estimates left over.

It will depend on the progress of business but we will try to arrange it.

We will press the Government on that point.
