I have arranged for an examination of the whole position in regard to social services. It will be appreciated that this examination and the formulation of any scheme to replace existing services (if that be decided upon) must take considerable time. I cannot, at this stages, say when I shall be able to make a statement on the result of this investigation. I have, however, certain interim improvements under consideration on which I hope to make a statement at an early date.
