Vol. 104 No. 18

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Supply of Potatoes in Dublin.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he is aware that potatoes are in short supply in Dublin City and certain towns and villages in County Dublin; and if so, if he proposes to take steps to improve the supply available or to distribute existing supplies on a more equitable basis.

I am aware that there has been a scarcity of potatoes in Dublin City and parts of the county due to the recent severe weather. As I expect that adequate supplies will be forthcoming with the improvement in the weather I do not consider that any special steps need be taken regarding current supplies.
