Vol. 105 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Shannon Navigation Employees.

asked the Minister for Finance if he is aware that the workmen employed at Limerick by the Shannon Navigation have not yet received any increase on their wages of 45/- a week; and if he will take steps to have a suitable advance granted, to them commensurate with the increased cost of living.

The answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative; as regards the second part, the matter is at present under active consideration and will, I expect, be settled at an early date.
