Vol. 105 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Supply of Fuel Oil.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he is aware that approximately 300 workers in the gypsum industry in County Meath have received notice terminating their employment because of the shortage or non-delivery of fuel oil; and if he will state when this serious position will be relieved by an improvement in the supply position.

I understand that the difficulty of the company concerned arose from the curtailment of the rail services. They have now been given an extra allocation of fuel oil to assist them in the distribution of their products.
