Vol. 105 No. 14

Report of the Committee on Procedure and Privileges Pursuant to the Order of the Dáil of 24th April, 1947.

I move:—

That the report and proceedings of the Committee be printed.

That the report be adopted.

Agreed, and ordered accordingly.

Gabhaim-se mo leath scéal mar gheall ar mo drochiomhcur i limistéir an Tighe Deardaoin seo caithte. Iarraim ort-sa mo leathscéal a gabháil agus tríoch-sa iarraim ar an dTigh an méad céana.

A Chinn-Chomhairle, I regret very much my conduct on Thursday last, and I ask you to accept my apology, and through you I apologise to the House.

I very readily avail of this, the earliest opportunity, to express to the members of this House and to you, Sir, my sincere regret, and to offer an unreserved and unqualified apology for the scene that occurred within the precincts of the House on last Thursday. I should like also to take advantage of this opportunity to express to Deputy Kennedy my personal regret, and to assure him that it is my very earnest hope and wish that anything that has occurred will not impair in any way the good feelings of fellowship and friendship which I have always entertained for him and which, I believe, he in turn entertains for me.
