Vol. 105 No. 16

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Buchanan Estate (County Mayo).

asked the Minister for Lands if he will take immediate steps to migrate those tenants on the Buchanan estate, County Mayo, who have already signified their willingness to migrate, and who are living under conditions of hardship, owing to the failure of the Land Commission to rearrange and finally settle this estate.

The general supply position still prevents the equipment of holdings in sufficient numbers for migration schemes. The Land Commission, however, have already taken a note of the cases the Deputy has in mind and will deal with them and with applications from other prospective migrants elsewhere, when conditions become favourable.
