Vol. 107 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Industrial Relations Act, 1946.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether further consideration has now been given to the feasibility of extending the provisions of the Industrial Relations Act, 1946, so as to include employees of local authorities, and thus permit such workers to avail themselves of the conciliation and arbitration machinery of the Labour Court.

It is not proposed to amend the Industrial Relations Act, 1946, so as to bring officers and employees of local authorities within its scope.
