Question on Adjournment.

With your permission, Sir, I propose to raise on the adjournment of the House to-night the question of the extension of the repayment period for interest-free loans to farmers from four years to eight years and an increase in the available maximum loan from five times the poor law valuation to ten times that amount.

It is proposed to take

We propose to take business in the following order: Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 11, 12, 13, 15 (Votes 31 and 49); then No. 14 and after that the remainder of the Votes. With Vote 71 will be taken Nos. 6 and 7.

Have the Government come to any conclusion as to when the Dáil will rise for the Recess and until what date?

As to when it is proposed to rise, we have only hopes. As to when we are to re-assemble, it is proposed to re-assemble on the 8th October.

I thought it was the 28th.

No, the 8th.

You need not be here. You can prolong your holiday.

I am in the habit of earning what I am paid. It is a lesson the Minister should start to learn.
