Vol. 107 No. 8

Order of Business.

It is proposed to take the business as set out on the Order Paper in the following order: Items 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6, then items 11, 12, 13 and 14—all Estimates—and then items 8, 9, 10, 7 and 15. With all stages of item 13, and the Second Reading of item 15, that is the whole of the business proposed for this session. Public business will not be interrupted in order to take private Deputies' business.

Is it intended to finish at 2 o'clock?

The business I have outlined is the whole of the business contemplated for this session. If there is a feeling that it would be desirable to complete it to-day, the House could sit late for that purpose and the Government would not object.

Do you want to finish the Second Reading of item 15?

It is considered that interested bodies may have amendments to propose to that Bill and it is desirable, therefore, to get the Second Reading in this session, so that, if amendments are to be proposed, they will be ready for the Dáil when it reassembles.

Do you propose to take power to sit later than 2 o'clock?

I think it would be desirable.

Better take the power now.

Will you take item 11 to-day?

Yes, it is a Supplementary Estimate.

It is merely a token Vote.
