Go ndeonfar suim breise nach mó ná £10 chun íoctha an Mhuirir a thiocfas chun bheith iníoctha i rith na bliana dar críoch an 31ú lá de Mhárta, 1948, chun Pinsean, Aoisliúntas, Cúitimh (lena n-áirítear Cúiteamh do Lucht Oibre), agus Liúntas agus Aiscí, breise agus eile, faoi na hAchta Aoisliúntas, 1834 go 1946, agus Reachta iolartha eile; chun Pinsean, Liúntas agus Aiscí Eis-Reachtúla, arna ndámhachtain ag an Aire Airgeadais; chun Pinsean, Liúntas agus Aiscí áirithe a choigeartú; táillí do Dhochtúirí Réitigh agus corrtháillí do Dhoch-túirí; etc.

This supplementary sum of £10 asked for in the Superannuation and Retired Allowances Vote is to enable adjustments both as regards Civil Service and Garda pensions, for which it provides, to be effected in advance of the necessary legislation, which legislation it will not be possible to pass to-day. Deputies will have noticed that I introduced the First Reading of the Superannuation Bill this morning and it will be circulated during the coming recess. It will be proposed in that Bill to make effective as from the 1st November last the pensions and gratuities which civil servants would have been entitled to—there is another Bill for the Garda—were it not for the operation of the Standstill Order.
