Vol. 108 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Old Age Pensioners' Bread and Butter Ration.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if, in view of the fact that under the food voucher system old age pensioners were enabled to obtain the normal rations of bread and butter and to supplement these rations by additional supplies of bread and butter obtainable by means of the vouchers, he will arrange that, when such old age pensioners are now receiving cash instead of food vouchers, they will obtain a supplementary ration of bread and butter.

I regret that the supply position does not permit of extra rations of the commodities mentioned by the Deputy being made available for old age pensioners.
