Vol. 108 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Supply of Bread and Flour in County Kerry.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he has received complaints regarding the shortage of bread and flour in the Cashen, Ballyduff area, Tralee, where, owing to the fishermen having to bring their food with them, little or none remains for their families, especially the children attending school; and if he will arrange that extra supplies will be made available in this area.

No recent representations have been made to my Department regarding shortages of bread and flour in the area mentioned by the Deputy. Persons engaged full-time in fishing are eligible to receive supplementary allowances of flour and bread.
