Vol. 108 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - I.R.A. Service Medals.

asked the Minister for Defence if he will consider the immediate introduction of legislation to enable applicants, who have not already done so, to apply for service medals, as many Old I.R.A. men were late in applying; and if he will sympathetically consider their claims.

As already announced, proposals to extend the time limit prescribed for making application for service medals are under consideration.

Can the Parliamentary Secretary say if it is proposed to introduce such proposals during the present session of the Dáil?

I cannot say.
