Vol. 108 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Circuit Court Clerks.

asked the Minister for Justice how many Circuit Court clerks are unestablished officers; and whether they have pension rights on retiring from the public service.

Mr. Boland

There are 87 unestablished officers, clerks, shorthand typists and typists employed in the Circuit Court offices at the present time.

Unestablished officers in general have no pension rights, but in the case of these particular officers an opportunity is to be given to the majority to acquire such rights in accordance with a scheme some of the details of which are still under consideration.
