Vol. 108 No. 12

A Deputy's Speech. - Solicitors (Amendment) Bill, 1947—First Stage.

Leave granted to introduce a Bill entitled an Act to increase the sum payable under Section 43 of the Solicitors (Ireland) Act, 1898, and to repeal in part the Solicitors (Ireland) Act, 1898, Amendment Act, 1923—(Minister for Justice).

Will the Minister say if this is a measure which must be passed through the Oireachtas before the dissolution?

I take it that that would be desirable.

In whose interest—in the interest of the Minister?

Mr. Boland

In the interest of the Incorporated Law Society.

Second Stage fixed for Wednesday, 19th November.

When will the Bill be circulated?

Mr. Boland

To-morrow, I expect.
