Vol. 108 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Trade Discussions with Great Britain.

asked the Minister for External Affairs whether he is now in a position to announce to the Dáil the results, in whole or in part, of the trade discussions with Great Britain.

I intended to make a statement on this subject in the Dáil to-day, but it has been agreed that such information should be made available at approximately the same time here and in London. Owing, however, to the introduction of a supplementary budget in Britain, it would not be practicable to have the information made available there to-day, and I have agreed to postpone my statement until to-morrow.

Will an opportunity be provided for discussing the Taoiseach's statement?

It can be discussed, if desired, immediately after the statement is made. I propose to make the statement immediately after question time.

Will the statement concern the full agreement?

What does the Deputy mean by "full agreement"?

Is the whole agreement concluded?

Agreement has not yet been reached on one or two matters. One or two matters have yet to be completely fixed up.
