Vol. 108 No. 14

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Unemployment Insurance Benefits.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare if any discussions have yet been initiated regarding the payment of unemployment insurance, on foot of British contribution stamps, to Irishmen who have returned from Great Britain.

Discussions between officials of my Department and representatives from the British Ministry of National Insurance and the Northern Ireland Ministry of Labour and National Insurance on the subject of reciprocity in the field of social insurance and assistance will take place in Dublin next week. The scope of these discussions will include the matter referred to in the question.
