Vol. 109 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Tuberculin Test For Bulls.

asked the Minister for Agriculture whether he will consider the advisability of extending the scope of the regulations concerning tuberculin test certificates for bulls, so that all bulls, pedigree or non-pedigree, will be tuberculin tested before being offered for sale at smaller bull sales.

I have no power to make regulations which would oblige owners of bulls to have their animals tuberculin tested before being offered for sale. Societies conducting bull sales may, if they wish, require that all bulls exhibited at their shows or sales must have been so tested.
