Vol. 109 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Unemployment Assistance Claim.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he will state the causes of the delay in paying unemployment assistance benefit to Mr. Thomas Murphy, 863 Rathfield, Newbridge, County Kildare.

Mr. Murphy's application for unemployment assistance was refused by an unemployment assistance officer on the grounds that he was not genuinely seeking and unable to obtain suitable employment. The applicant's appeal to the court of referees against this decision has been successful and his application has been sent to the local office for payment.
