Vol. 110 No. 2

Supplementary Estimates. - Vote 43—Dundrum Asylum.

I move:—

That a supplementary sum not exceeding £430 be granted to defray the Charge which will come in course of payment during the year ending 31st March, 1948, for the Expenses of the Maintenance of Criminal Lunatics in the Dundrum Asylum (8 and 9 Vict., c. 107).

Under this Supplementary Estimate an additional sum of £620 is required to meet the increase due to the rise in prices of certain foodstuffs and an additional sum of £140 is required to meet the increased cost of farm implements, feeding stuffs for the farm live stock, manures and seeds. The total amount required will be partially offset as it is anticipated that there will be increased Appropriations-in-Aid of £330 due chiefly to the increased receipts from attendants for rations and to additional receipts in respect of the sale of surplus produce from the farm and garden.

Vote put and agreed to.
