Vol. 111 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Furnishing of Irish Tourist Board Hotels.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state whether the Irish Tourist Board furnished and equipped their hotels by contract or through direct purchases and whether any commission was paid to any person for making or arranging such purchases; and, if so, the number of persons to whom such commission was paid and the amount of such commission.

I understand that orders for the furniture and equipment of the hotels owned by the Irish Tourist Board were placed directly with the suppliers by duly authorised officials of the board and that no commission was paid.
