Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Milch Cows.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state the number of milch cows on farms in each province for the years 1945, 1946, 1947 and at the latest available date this year.

I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to circulate in the Official Report a statement giving the desired information so far as it is available.

Following is the statement:—

The figures for 1st January, 1948, are estimates.

In all cases the figures include a negligible percentage of milch cows not on farms. Separate particulars of such milch cows are not available.
