Vol. 111 No. 14

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Caherciveen Water Supply.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state what steps are being taken to provide a proper water supply for the town of Caherciveen and its suburbs.

Mr. Murphy

The local authority was informed last October that no objection would be raised to the preparation of a scheme for the improvement of the Caherciveen water supply on the lines proposed by the consulting engineer. The contract documents have not yet been submitted to the Department for approval but I understand that they have been furnished to the local authority and that they are at present under examination by the county engineer.
