Vol. 111 No. 14

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Rundale System in Mayo.

asked the Minister for Lands if he has taken any steps to resettle the rundale system and ease the congestion which still remains in the townlands of Drumganagh, Manulla, County Mayo.

Drumganagh is one of numerous congested townlands on the former estate of D.G. Fitzgerald. Many of the holdings on this estate are in rundale. Some land has already been made available for enlargements but it will be necessary to provide further land by way of resumption or migration before a rearrangement scheme can be successfully undertaken. Proceedings are at present in hands for resumption of three holdings in Drumganagh.
