Vol. 112 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Bounty for Seed Potato Growers.

asked the Minister for Agriculture whether he is aware that the bounty usually paid to growers of certified seed potatoes in North Galway has not been paid for last year's crop, and, if so, whether he will state (a) what the amount of the bounty will be, and (b) when it is likely to be paid to the growers.

I am aware that a small bonus remains to be paid by the Irish Potato Marketing Association on seed potatoes exported from this country during the past season. The exact amount of the bonus has not yet been determined. I expect that distribution of the bonus will be made in the near future.
