Vol. 112 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Housing of Newly-Married Couples.

Mr. A. Byrne

asked the Minister for Local Government if he has yet discussed with the housing director of the City of Dublin the number of houses to be allotted to newly weds; and, if so, whether he will state the result of the discussions.

Mr. Murphy

An announcement on the matter will be made when the regulations in regard to houses for newly weds are finally settled.

Mr. A. Byrne

Can the Minister say when the matter will be finally settled? During the last three years applicants have been getting that answer from the Housing Department.

Mr. Murphy

I will undertake to have the examination of the matter hurried.
