Vol. 112 No. 5

Written Answers to Questions. - County Laoighis Cottage Scheme.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state the present position in regard to the County Laoighis cottage scheme as it affects the parish area of Arles, Ballickmyler and Ballylinan and the number of houses considered necessary for the area by the local authority.

Mr. Murphy

Laoighis County Council have acquired sites in the parish area of Arles, Ballickmyler and Ballylinan under the Laoighis County Health District Labourers (No. 8) Order, 1941. The number of cottages proposed to be erected on the sites is 71 and this number is sufficient to meet the housing requirements of the area in question. House plans have been approved and the erection of the cottages will be put in hands at an early date.
