Vol. 113 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Galway Rural Improvement Schemes.

asked the Minister for Finance if he is aware that several rural improvement schemes have been proposed during the last eight months for the South Galway area, and have been held up or delayed, and if he will make representations to the responsible authority to expedite the work on these schemes.

The Special Employment Schemes Office, which have been charged with the execution of the rural improvements scheme, has had difficulty for some time past in securing a sufficient number of inspectors, but I shall be glad to do what is possible to expedite the schemes referred to.
