Vol. 113 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Price of American Cars.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether he is aware that since the announcement of a reduction in the prices of American motor cars some types of American cars are now being sold at prices almost as high as formerly by reason of the fact that fittings formerly included in the price of the car are now being priced separately; and whether he will have the matter investigated.

I have quite recently received complaints of the nature outlined by the Deputy, and am having the matter investigated. It will, however, facilitate my inquiries if the Deputy is in a position to furnish particulars of any cases that have come to his notice.
