Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Agricultural Land—Rates Relief.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he intends introducing immediately proposals for legislation to secure at least the degree of relief of rates on agricultural land as was granted under the Rates on Agricultural Land (Relief) Act, 1947, which expires on 31st December next.

As the Deputy will see from the Order Paper it is intended to introduce a Bill to-day to extend the Rates on Agricultural Land (Relief) Act, 1946, as amended by the Rates on Agricultural Land (Relief) Act, 1947, so as to apply it to the financial year ending 31st March, 1950.
