Vol. 113 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - New County Dublin Dispensary.

asked the Minister for Health whether a new dispensary will be provided for Garrettstown, County Dublin; and, if so, whether he can state when it is expected that building work will commence.

Proposals for the acquisition of a site for a dispensary at Garrettstown have been received in my Department. The proposed site was recently inspected by my medical and architectural inspectors. I hope to be in a position to convey my views as to the suitability of the proposed site to the Balrothery Board of Assistance in the very near future.

When a site has been acquired the planning of the dispensary can be proceeded with immediately by the board's engineer and the county medical officer of health.

In the circumstances, I cannot state when building operations will be commenced, but I can assure the Deputy that the matter will be handled with all possible expedition in my Department.
