Vol. 114 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Erection of Mayo School.

asked the Minister for Education whether he will state what progress has now been made towards the erection of a new school at Ballyglass, County Mayo.

Since I replied to the Deputy's previous question in this matter, the reverend parish priest has offered an alternative site for a new school, and I expect to receive from the Commissioners of Public Works, at an early date, a report as to the suitability of this site and an estimate of the cost of the new building. As soon as the report and estimate are available, the Department will communicate with the manager with a view to the completion of the remaining steps to enable a grant to be sanctioned towards the cost of the new school.
